SPRING INSPIRED TOPSHOP WISHLIST

009. BLANCHE Ankle Boots

In case you already weren't aware... it's Spring! Well, at least for the Southern Hemisphere. I'm especially excited for the Spring season this year. because,
1) All the gorgeous things in Topshop, mentioned above,
2) After many months of jumper and jeans, I'm SO ready for warm weather, and
3) H&M finally opened in Perth! Woop woop! (If you'd like, go check out my next post for more on that wonderful subject)

So, when I was picking out all of the gorgeous things in the picture and listed above, I didn't really realise that everything I had chosen was either black or peachy/rose gold. I'm not sure why this is, but it seems that everyone involved in the beauty community these days likes, or has liked, rose gold at some point. You know what, I think today, inspired by this post, I'm going to wear a rose gold inspired makeup look, featuring peachy lips and pinky gold eyes.

I'm sorry to all of you on the North side of this planet, making you jealous will all this talk about warm weather. But just know that I'm secretly wishing for hot chocolates and snuggly movie nights and big coats. Shhh! Don't tell anyone. :)

Have an amazing rest of your weekend!

Bridget xx

P.S. Happy Fathers Day!

MINI TOPSHOP HAUL

So recently I went to Topshop! (actually that was pretty obvious) I think that Topshop may be one of my favourite stores EVER. It is filled with high quality clothes, makeup and accessories (which are all a little pricey, to say the least), and I can never stop my self from going in when I walk past. Here's what I got:

Excuse the chipped nail polish

I chose two lip varnishes, in purple and pink. I know, I know, this purple does look a little bit extreme, but I swatched it in the shop and to my surprise, when applied thinly, it appears a gorgeous fuchsia colour! I've worn it quite a few times already and I still love it so much. Plus - look at the packaging! Topshop always does this really cool thing where the lid is matte in one part and shiny in another! I tried to show you in this picture (do you see how the light shines of the center of the black lid? That's the shiny bit, and the rest is matte.) If you don't understand, just by some for yourself! :)

Also, I'm really very excited to try out these eye shadows.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul of mine, I quite like doing these - I actually have another coming soon, so watch out for that!

Have you tried any of these prods? I'd love to know what you think!

2014 RECAP // MAKE - UP + NAIL ART {part 1}

As 2014 has come to a close, I've decided to take a look back at all the best trends of the year. There were so many! Over the next few posts I will be talking about and discussing my favourite looks of 2014... so stay tuned for that! Here are my top make-up trends:

The Orange lip
From bright neon to pale corals, the orange lip was massive. Although I was never brave enough to go bright orange, I still loved the pinky coral shade. They key to this trend was which colours perfectly complemented your skin tone.

Left to Right: Emma Watson, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Alba

Best lip products:
2. MAC
3. Revlon

A Golden Glow
As the world is becoming more aware of the risks of tanning, the beauty world has taken a step in the right direction - faking the bronzed glow. Whether that's bronzer, body shimmer or a tanning lotion - there's options for everyone.

Left to Right: Blake Lively, Hayden Panettiere, Jennifer Lawrence

Products I love:

The Boy-Brow
Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins are the leaders of this trend (well in my opinion anyways) and it has taken the world by storm. Say goodbye to thin arched brows, because they won't be coming back for a while.

Left to Right: Cara Delevingne, Lily Collins

Best Brow shapers/groomers:

And my favourite nail trends:

Au Naturel
What I love about the nude colour trend is that it looks very professional, sleek, and goes with everything. The colours range from brown tones to pinky shades, which means that there is a colour to suit everybody's skin tone (because after all, your skin colour is actually 'nude').

Left to Right: Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lawrence

My favourite colours:

Midnight Muse
Dark shades such as plum, burgundy and navy blue were seriously on trend this year, and for a good reason - they're gorgeous!

Left to Right: Rhianna, Kylie Jenner, Demi Lovato

Some awesome shades:

I hope you enjoyed this style of post - comment bellow if you liked it and want to see more! Also, what were your favourite trends from 2014?
