H&M PERTH STORE OPENING

Just to fill you in - Perth has always been lacking in the fashion department. Last year international fashion giants Topshop and Zara opened in multiple places around Perth, and now that H&M has joined the party I'm absolutely ecstatic.

H&M opened on the 29th of August at Joundalup shopping centre, which is quite far from Perth CBD - although I don't really mind. I went to the opening with my best friend and it was probably, no definitely, the highlight of my year. While we we were lining up outside they handed us goody bags, which included a cute pencil case/makeup bag, a water bottle and an umbrella. We spent almost 2 hours in there! There were so many things to look at and we wanted to buy almost everything. I took some sneaky pics of the massive store, so enjoy!

As you can see, it was absolutely jam packed, but that just added to the fun of it all.

This is the outfit that I wore to the opening, featuring a gingham cami from Cotton on, ripped at the knees black jeans from Lee Cooper, and blue high-top converse. I'm also wearing a smokey eye and my Thomas Sabo necklace.

I tried on this grey top with lace sleeves, the white top with a tropical print on it, the grey skater dress and a black dress with mesh cut outs. And yes I did leave my jeans on while trying on the dresses, don't worry - I'm not going to wear dresses with jeans underneath in public (or in private) EVER.

My final picks which I ended up buying were:
1) The grey top with the lace sleeves, and
2) The grey skater dress

I'm planning to go back to H&M this weekend to also buy the black dress with the mesh cutouts, because I love that dress so much and have been thinking about it more than I should be. If I don't own that dress in the next few days there will be a problem.

And to end the day we visited Mecca Maxima, which, if you didn't already know, is the high-end makeup shop that stocks brands such as Nars, Urban Decay, Stila, and Too Faced. We spend way more time than necessary oooing and aaahhing over the gorgeous naked palettes and the two faced melted lipsticks. I didn't buy anything, but I sure will be back soon!

I hope you enjoyed my little adventure, I think next time I do something like this I might vlog it. Would you like to see a vlog?

BLOOM

Top // Dotti
Jeans // Pink Sugar
Scarf // Cotton On
Boots // Novo

How've you all been? What have you been up to? I've recently been swamped with assignments and tests which I am certainly not very happy about.

What I am in fact quite happy about is this outfit. This shirt was in the sale section at Dotti, for only $9.99 (can you believe it!?!), and I now cannot remember what my life was like before I owned this shirt. What would I have worn? I don't even remember.

And once again I am wearing these boots - they are my absolute fave thing ever, and I think I may have worn them in every outfit post so far! #sorrynotsorry

Also, how gorgeous is this lighting? I was over at my grandparents house when I suddenly realised that it was 'golden hour', and I knew I just had to take advantage of it. I think my family was quite confused when my sister and I all of a sudden ran out of the house with the camera, but it was well worth it! I love this time of day so much, it makes the editing job so much easier as the photos come out almost perfect. haha. Have a spectacular weekend, and I'll see you soon!

Jacket // Valleygirl
Shirt // H&M
Jeans // Lee Cooper
Ring // Unknown
Necklace // Thomas Sabo
Shoes // Converse

Hey everyone! Today's outfit is actually compiled of all new clothing items that I have gotten over a month ago and haven't really had the chance to wear them yet. Isn't it annoying when that happens? You find the perfect shirt, the most gorgeous jacket, or the coolest shoes alive, but when you get home you have no idea what to pair them with? I've done that too many times to count.

What's the weather like where you live? Today was actually so hot (well, compared to the last few weeks, it was), and so I was very very ecstatic to finally be able to venture out into the world with jeans and a tee - no jacket was required! I love winter, but one of the most annoying things about it is that I always want to wear my cute tops or singlets but then have to cover them up with a jacket because it's so cold. Fortunately for me, there's only 2 and a half weeks left of winter!

Have a great weekend,

Bridget xx

Welcome to the first post of Fashion Friday! Today I have a gorgeous outfit for you which I have been wearing a lot recently. It is unbelievably comfortable and so stylish, which is always a great combination. Plus I love styling this outfit with my favourite shimmery eye-shadow look (tutorial for that coming soon), and a nude lip.

Hope you are all having a great weekend... see you soon!

RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRESSED POWDER // REVIEW

Hey lovlies,

Here's what the packaging looks like - ooo very nice!

I love how the product is in the shape of a crown, it adds a really nice finish to the packaging. Over time the crown shape disappears as you use more of the product.

I have this product in translucent, but if I buy it again I think I will buy it in a darker colour, maybe 003, as the translucent shade made my face quite white (or maybe I was just using too much...).

The first time I bought this was maybe two years ago, and I've been using it ever since. I had heard many beauty youtubers talk about this product, so I though I'd buy it too to join in and see what the hype was about.

The Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder aims to keep your make-up in place for up to 5 hours, which isnt actually a very long time. I wear it to school. and as my school lasts for 6 hours I am very shiny by the end of the day (it doesn't help that I have naturally very oily skin.... *sad face*).

Overall, I really like this product if I am just going out for a few hours, as for me the shine control only lasts for 2 or 3 hours. A bit disappointing, but definitely worth they buy if you have dry, normal or combination skin.

What's your favourite powder?

THE LEIBSTER AWARD

Hey!

Just last month I was nominated by the gorgeous Cait from Beyond the Beauty Bag (beyondthebeautybag.blogspot.com) to do the Leibster award. Thanks you so much for that!

If you didn't know, the Leibster award is a chance for bloggers to help get other small blogs noticed, which I think is such a cute idea!

Rules:
- Acknowledge the person who nominated you.

- Answer the questions given by the person who nominated you.
- Nominate 11 bloggers (if you can) and notify them.
- Give them 11 questions to answer

My Questions:
1 // Why did you start blogging?
I've always love beauty, fashion and hairstyles, and one random day, over a year a go, I had an idea - I wanted to start a blog.

2// Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I'd love to be married, working at a teen fashion magazine (preferably DOLLY) or at a retail store. I'd also try pursuing a career in science, but I don't really know what options are out there. And obviously I'd love to continue blogging as that is my main passion, but overall I think my main goal is to be happy. :)

3 // High heels or flats?
Depends on the occasion! I love both too much ahah.

4 // What is your favourite thing to do to unwind?
Watching the latest episode of Arrow, reading a book or watching youtube

5 // Read the book or watch the movie?
Both! I'm one of those people who will almost always read the book before the movie, but then definitely go and see the movie afterward! The only time I wouldn't read the book first is if the library doesn't have it available fast enough (I get most of my books from the library as actually buying then is quite expensive as much as I love them).

6 // Which country would you love to visit?
Mykonos, Greece! It looks absolutely beautiful. Ad of course I would love to go back to France and England... I love them so much (and I've been there multiple times).

7// Favourite food?
I can't choose... but I think sushi, hot chips, and chocolate moose - they are AMAZING

8 // What's the one thing you cant live without?
My phone... how would I contact anyone without it?

9 // If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be?
Wow - I have no idea! I've always loved white tigers... maybe a baby one of those.

10 // Favorite makeup brand?
Maybelline... I love it so much! Most of my make-up is from there ahah.

11 // Winter or Summer?
This is probably the hardest question in the whole universe... I love both! Summer is so awesome because dresses and crop tops and BIKINIS... but you get hot and sweaty and the humidity makes my hair frizz and my make-up falls off. Winter is gorgeous, and the clothes are so cute, but somedays I have no energy to o anything as the weather is so depressing. I can't decide... sorry!

The blogs I nominate are:
http://www.jeansspaceblog.blogspot.co.nz
http://princesspearle.blogspot.com
http://xhelseamay.wordpress.com/
http://blogxchelsea.wordpress.com
http://isabelleonthemoon.blogspot.com.au
http://lifeolola.blogspot.co.nz/

Your Questions:
1 // Favourite blog?
2 // Favourite youtube channel?
3 // Dream job?
4 // Dream holiday destination?
5 // Newest item of clothing and why you love it?
6 // Newest pair of shoes and why you love them?
7 // Most read book?
8 // Most watched movie?
9 // Go-to outfit?
10 // Go-to hairstyle?
11 // Holy-grail make-up products?

Thanks again to Cait for nominating me, and I hope you enjoyed this post :)

P.S. I was also nominated for the One Lovely Blog award, which you can read here.

DIY INSPO WALL DECOR

Heyy

Today I have a DIY for you all! Yay! ahah. This is my first DIY with many more to come... lets get started!

I created my inspo wall becuase I was tired of what my old magnet board looked like and I wanted some cute inspirational things up on my wall for me to see to make me smile :)

1 // First, I searched the internet for pics of things I love and printed them out.

2 // Cut out the pictures with scissors or a paper trimmer. I used a paper trimmer (it's my mum's actually) because it's easier and quicker than scissors.

3 // Get all your pictures, magnets and mini posters (mine are from DOLLY Magazine) and choose what you are going to put up (if you have limited space). I also included a newspaper article about TOPSHOP and ZARA coming to Perth City.

4 // I couldn't fit everything on, so I'm going to store the extra pics away for another day when I decide to change up my board again :)

And it's finished! I'm very happy with it - so cute!
Here's what mine looks like:

So that's it - thanks for reading! Leave a comment down below what other DIY's you want me to do in the future. :)
