H&M PERTH STORE OPENING

Just to fill you in - Perth has always been lacking in the fashion department. Last year international fashion giants Topshop and Zara opened in multiple places around Perth, and now that H&M has joined the party I'm absolutely ecstatic.

H&M opened on the 29th of August at Joundalup shopping centre, which is quite far from Perth CBD - although I don't really mind. I went to the opening with my best friend and it was probably, no definitely, the highlight of my year. While we we were lining up outside they handed us goody bags, which included a cute pencil case/makeup bag, a water bottle and an umbrella. We spent almost 2 hours in there! There were so many things to look at and we wanted to buy almost everything. I took some sneaky pics of the massive store, so enjoy!

As you can see, it was absolutely jam packed, but that just added to the fun of it all.

This is the outfit that I wore to the opening, featuring a gingham cami from Cotton on, ripped at the knees black jeans from Lee Cooper, and blue high-top converse. I'm also wearing a smokey eye and my Thomas Sabo necklace.

I tried on this grey top with lace sleeves, the white top with a tropical print on it, the grey skater dress and a black dress with mesh cut outs. And yes I did leave my jeans on while trying on the dresses, don't worry - I'm not going to wear dresses with jeans underneath in public (or in private) EVER.

My final picks which I ended up buying were:
1) The grey top with the lace sleeves, and
2) The grey skater dress

I'm planning to go back to H&M this weekend to also buy the black dress with the mesh cutouts, because I love that dress so much and have been thinking about it more than I should be. If I don't own that dress in the next few days there will be a problem.

And to end the day we visited Mecca Maxima, which, if you didn't already know, is the high-end makeup shop that stocks brands such as Nars, Urban Decay, Stila, and Too Faced. We spend way more time than necessary oooing and aaahhing over the gorgeous naked palettes and the two faced melted lipsticks. I didn't buy anything, but I sure will be back soon!

I hope you enjoyed my little adventure, I think next time I do something like this I might vlog it. Would you like to see a vlog?

SPRING INSPIRED TOPSHOP WISHLIST

009. BLANCHE Ankle Boots

In case you already weren't aware... it's Spring! Well, at least for the Southern Hemisphere. I'm especially excited for the Spring season this year. because,
1) All the gorgeous things in Topshop, mentioned above,
2) After many months of jumper and jeans, I'm SO ready for warm weather, and
3) H&M finally opened in Perth! Woop woop! (If you'd like, go check out my next post for more on that wonderful subject)

So, when I was picking out all of the gorgeous things in the picture and listed above, I didn't really realise that everything I had chosen was either black or peachy/rose gold. I'm not sure why this is, but it seems that everyone involved in the beauty community these days likes, or has liked, rose gold at some point. You know what, I think today, inspired by this post, I'm going to wear a rose gold inspired makeup look, featuring peachy lips and pinky gold eyes.

I'm sorry to all of you on the North side of this planet, making you jealous will all this talk about warm weather. But just know that I'm secretly wishing for hot chocolates and snuggly movie nights and big coats. Shhh! Don't tell anyone. :)

Have an amazing rest of your weekend!

AUGUST MAKEUP HAUL

I haven't really been out shopping this month, but when I did, I managed to pick up these goodies that I am dying to try out (well, some of these products have already been tried out because I couldn't resist)!

Firstly, I must say I know I promised not to buy any more eye shadows... but I just couldn't resist! These were on sale in Sportsgirl, and were marked down to almost half price! A bargain if I do say so myself. For those of you who don't know, Sportsgirl is an Australian fashion and beauty store that stocks affordable fashion pieces and gorgeous makeup  products which I can never resist buying. The palettesI picked up are called Silver linings, featuring mainly black and silver shades, and Wild at Heart, which includes olive and champagne toned shades. Silver Linings also features a pink shimmer, which I don't think I'll be using anytime soon, but who knows?

Also, I bought the Real Techniques Multi-task brush, because I already use their blending brush (for eye shadow) which I am head-over-heels for, and decided I needed another to add to my collection. I just couldn't resist...

Now, about the lip pencil/crayon, I actually saw my mum with this product, tried it, loved it, and went out to buy one for myself! Great marketing, mum! haha. I've used it a few times already, and I especially like pairing it with a lip gloss of the same colour to give it a glossy finish because I prefer that to just a pain shimmery matte finish.

So, that's the end of my little haul - hope you liked it! And I must say - wow, it's nearly the end of August! This year is going so fast - nearly Halloween, then Christmas and then the new year! I'll be year 11 next year which is pretty stressful but I am so excited none the less. What year are you guys in at school/what year are you going into next year?

BLOOM

Top // Dotti
Jeans // Pink Sugar
Scarf // Cotton On
Boots // Novo

How've you all been? What have you been up to? I've recently been swamped with assignments and tests which I am certainly not very happy about.

What I am in fact quite happy about is this outfit. This shirt was in the sale section at Dotti, for only $9.99 (can you believe it!?!), and I now cannot remember what my life was like before I owned this shirt. What would I have worn? I don't even remember.

And once again I am wearing these boots - they are my absolute fave thing ever, and I think I may have worn them in every outfit post so far! #sorrynotsorry

Also, how gorgeous is this lighting? I was over at my grandparents house when I suddenly realised that it was 'golden hour', and I knew I just had to take advantage of it. I think my family was quite confused when my sister and I all of a sudden ran out of the house with the camera, but it was well worth it! I love this time of day so much, it makes the editing job so much easier as the photos come out almost perfect. haha. Have a spectacular weekend, and I'll see you soon!

1 PALETTE 3 LOOKS: ULTA3 LIP AND CHEEK PALETTE

(Yes, in the mirror you can see me in my pyjamas)

I have so many eye shadow palettes that I think it is becoming an addiction. Seriously, in the last few months I have accumulated so many that I haven't even had time to use them all! I decided that you might want to see these gorgeous palettes (and be warned - they are mostly nude and black shades) and how I am creating different looks with them. Hence this series, where I show you a few looks that you can create with each palette. Lets begin!

So my first palette is a selection of eye shadows (including two cheek shades, too) that I've had since the start of the year and haven't only used until recently. Is that bad or what? Although the colours in this palette are so gorgeous and I wish I had used it sooner. The looks I am creating with this eye shadow palette are: traditional shimmery smokey eye, a dramatic brown smokey eye, and a light, shimmery natural eye look.

Look one:: Traditional smokey eye
For this look I am using only the shades on the right side. So to start, first apply the lightest shade all over the eye area - including the lid, the crease and under the brow bone. Then cover just your lid with the shade below. With the next shade, only put on the eye shadow on the outer 2 thirds of your lid. Blend those shades together, and finally, blend the darkest shade into the crease and outer corners of your eyelid. Optionally, you can line your botto lash line with the darkest shade too.

Look two:: Brown smokey eye
As the colours on the right side are black/grey/silver, and the name of this look clear states 'brown', we will obviously only be using the colours on the left side of the palette. So, firstly use the lightest brown shade to cover your whole eye area, as described above. Using the next shade cover your whole lid. Then, with the third shade, you will need to just cover the outer 2 thirds of your lid, and blend well. To finish the brown smokey eye, apply the darkest colour to your crease and blend into the rest of your look, and then apply that same shade to your bottom lash line to line your eyes. As you can see the steps for this look are practically the same as the ones for the traditional smokey eye that I mentioned above, as they are both smokey eyes.

Look 3:: Simple shimmery look
This I'm still using four shades, but this look is definitely the easiest out of all the looks so far, and soon you will see why! Start with covering your whole eye area, up to your brow bone, with the lightest shade on the brown side. Then, using the lightest shade from the black side (haha the dark side) cover your whole lid. With the second shade on the brown side apply it to the crease to create dimension. For the finishing touch, line your bottom and top lash lines with the black shade.

(And with all these eye shadow looks you can use the blush shades with them, I just choose to not wear blush because of my naturally pink cheeks. Plus I also prefer the contoured and bronzed look.)

I hope you enjoyed this new style of post! If you like it, make sure to tell me as I would just love to create another using a different eye shadow palette, and as you know I have loads! See you soon,
