H&M PERTH STORE OPENING

Just to fill you in - Perth has always been lacking in the fashion department. Last year international fashion giants Topshop and Zara opened in multiple places around Perth, and now that H&M has joined the party I'm absolutely ecstatic.

H&M opened on the 29th of August at Joundalup shopping centre, which is quite far from Perth CBD - although I don't really mind. I went to the opening with my best friend and it was probably, no definitely, the highlight of my year. While we we were lining up outside they handed us goody bags, which included a cute pencil case/makeup bag, a water bottle and an umbrella. We spent almost 2 hours in there! There were so many things to look at and we wanted to buy almost everything. I took some sneaky pics of the massive store, so enjoy!

As you can see, it was absolutely jam packed, but that just added to the fun of it all.

This is the outfit that I wore to the opening, featuring a gingham cami from Cotton on, ripped at the knees black jeans from Lee Cooper, and blue high-top converse. I'm also wearing a smokey eye and my Thomas Sabo necklace.

I tried on this grey top with lace sleeves, the white top with a tropical print on it, the grey skater dress and a black dress with mesh cut outs. And yes I did leave my jeans on while trying on the dresses, don't worry - I'm not going to wear dresses with jeans underneath in public (or in private) EVER.

My final picks which I ended up buying were:
1) The grey top with the lace sleeves, and
2) The grey skater dress

I'm planning to go back to H&M this weekend to also buy the black dress with the mesh cutouts, because I love that dress so much and have been thinking about it more than I should be. If I don't own that dress in the next few days there will be a problem.

And to end the day we visited Mecca Maxima, which, if you didn't already know, is the high-end makeup shop that stocks brands such as Nars, Urban Decay, Stila, and Too Faced. We spend way more time than necessary oooing and aaahhing over the gorgeous naked palettes and the two faced melted lipsticks. I didn't buy anything, but I sure will be back soon!

I hope you enjoyed my little adventure, I think next time I do something like this I might vlog it. Would you like to see a vlog?

SPRING INSPIRED TOPSHOP WISHLIST

009. BLANCHE Ankle Boots

In case you already weren't aware... it's Spring! Well, at least for the Southern Hemisphere. I'm especially excited for the Spring season this year. because,
1) All the gorgeous things in Topshop, mentioned above,
2) After many months of jumper and jeans, I'm SO ready for warm weather, and
3) H&M finally opened in Perth! Woop woop! (If you'd like, go check out my next post for more on that wonderful subject)

So, when I was picking out all of the gorgeous things in the picture and listed above, I didn't really realise that everything I had chosen was either black or peachy/rose gold. I'm not sure why this is, but it seems that everyone involved in the beauty community these days likes, or has liked, rose gold at some point. You know what, I think today, inspired by this post, I'm going to wear a rose gold inspired makeup look, featuring peachy lips and pinky gold eyes.

I'm sorry to all of you on the North side of this planet, making you jealous will all this talk about warm weather. But just know that I'm secretly wishing for hot chocolates and snuggly movie nights and big coats. Shhh! Don't tell anyone. :)

Have an amazing rest of your weekend!

AUGUST MAKEUP HAUL

I haven't really been out shopping this month, but when I did, I managed to pick up these goodies that I am dying to try out (well, some of these products have already been tried out because I couldn't resist)!

Firstly, I must say I know I promised not to buy any more eye shadows... but I just couldn't resist! These were on sale in Sportsgirl, and were marked down to almost half price! A bargain if I do say so myself. For those of you who don't know, Sportsgirl is an Australian fashion and beauty store that stocks affordable fashion pieces and gorgeous makeup  products which I can never resist buying. The palettesI picked up are called Silver linings, featuring mainly black and silver shades, and Wild at Heart, which includes olive and champagne toned shades. Silver Linings also features a pink shimmer, which I don't think I'll be using anytime soon, but who knows?

Also, I bought the Real Techniques Multi-task brush, because I already use their blending brush (for eye shadow) which I am head-over-heels for, and decided I needed another to add to my collection. I just couldn't resist...

Now, about the lip pencil/crayon, I actually saw my mum with this product, tried it, loved it, and went out to buy one for myself! Great marketing, mum! haha. I've used it a few times already, and I especially like pairing it with a lip gloss of the same colour to give it a glossy finish because I prefer that to just a pain shimmery matte finish.

So, that's the end of my little haul - hope you liked it! And I must say - wow, it's nearly the end of August! This year is going so fast - nearly Halloween, then Christmas and then the new year! I'll be year 11 next year which is pretty stressful but I am so excited none the less. What year are you guys in at school/what year are you going into next year?

BLOOM

Top // Dotti
Jeans // Pink Sugar
Scarf // Cotton On
Boots // Novo

How've you all been? What have you been up to? I've recently been swamped with assignments and tests which I am certainly not very happy about.

What I am in fact quite happy about is this outfit. This shirt was in the sale section at Dotti, for only $9.99 (can you believe it!?!), and I now cannot remember what my life was like before I owned this shirt. What would I have worn? I don't even remember.

And once again I am wearing these boots - they are my absolute fave thing ever, and I think I may have worn them in every outfit post so far! #sorrynotsorry

Also, how gorgeous is this lighting? I was over at my grandparents house when I suddenly realised that it was 'golden hour', and I knew I just had to take advantage of it. I think my family was quite confused when my sister and I all of a sudden ran out of the house with the camera, but it was well worth it! I love this time of day so much, it makes the editing job so much easier as the photos come out almost perfect. haha. Have a spectacular weekend, and I'll see you soon!

TOP FIVE AFFORDABLE MAKEUP PRODUCTS

There's something I have to confess... I own A LOT of drugstore makeup.  And I'm not ashamed, although my purse might be as I'm always spending! I just love makeup so much - all the colours and brands and designs and the packaging and the product itself and I could just go on and on and on. And after collecting makeup for at least 2 years now, I have come across some (affordable!) gems which I just have to share with you.

The first product is the Model and Co. Lip Laquer in the colour Creme Brulee. It's actually the perfect combination of nude and pink and has such great staying power that I've worn this non-stop since I bought it. I should probably give my other lip prods some love so they don't feel left out.

Next is Maybelline's Volum Express The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara (what a long name!). I swear this is the best mascara to ever grace the planet. It doesn't clump, smudge, or look cakey, instead it opens my eyes SO MUCH and makes my eyes look amazing. I love it!

I think my most used product out of all of these must be Rimmel's Professional Eyebrow Pencil. I have used it almost every single day since I purchased it, and I wouldn't want to live a day without it. What I love most about this is that I can choose how much I fill in my brows depending on my mood, the occasion, and the rest of my makeup. It's so buildable and results in such a nice finish.

I have been wearing Rimmel's 60 seconds nail polish in the shade Princess Pink non-stop this month. It is seriously the perfect natural colour - mostly nude but with the slightest hint of pink so that it is practically the same colour as my nails, but darker. The finish is so glossy and smooth, and I can even wear it to school without the teachers noticing and getting me in trouble for wearing nail polish.

Lastly I want to include my Mineral Primer from Nude by Nature, which for some reason isn't available anymore. This was the best I could find - I think it's the same product but with a different name and design. If I wear a BB-cream or foundation, this primer HAS to go under it. Without it everything slides off my oily face within 2 hours. Such a lifesaver.

Now, there's something I have to tell you all. As I am such a procrastinator and as a result don't post blog posts as much as I really should, I decided that this month I'm going to challenge myself to 2 or 3 good quality posts per week. Mondays will be "Makeup Monday", Fridays will be "Fashion Friday", and I might post a lifestyle post another time during the week  if I feel like it. Hopefully you're excited (I definitely am!) and have a fabulous rest of the week :)

SEVEN DEADLY SINS OF BEAUTY TAG

As you may know already, I really enjoy these tags  and I've been seeing this particular one around lots and so I thought I would give it a go. Lets hop right in:

GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?  My most inexpensive would be the $2 lip glosses from Boe Beauty I got a few years ago... and have on;y used once or twice. Most expensive would have to be my Real Techniques brushes, but they are totally worth the buy!

WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
Maybelline's Pure Dream BB cream has been so controversial for me. I loved it then I hated it, and now I'm loving it again. The secret for me was to use a primer. Now it just stays on and I love the minimal coverage so much! Also, I have had such a struggle in finding the Maybelline Baby lips lip balm in cherry crush. I have the rest but just can't find that one!

GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products? Delicious? I'm certainly not going around eating my make-up, but I think that the Model and Co lipgloss that I mentioned in this post tastes like strawberries, and I must say, even though I don't like strawberries themselves, that it is very yummy.

SLOTH: What beauty products do you neglect due to laziness? Well, it may not be for laziness, but I have certainly be neglecting my eye and cheek palette from ULTA3. I really should get onto using it, thanks for the reminder!

PRIDE: What beauty products give you the most self-confidence? Ahhh. The good old classic red lip does the trick every time. My Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107 is the one. I just feel so powerful and badass when I wear this and as though I can take over the world (although that may be a slight exaggeration).

LUST: What products are you currently lusting over? The list of products I want at the moment must be un-healthy! I have heard so many good reviews about Maybelline's Lash Sensational mascara so I really want to give that a try, and I also want to get my hands on the eyeshadow quads from Rimmel. I'm going shopping tomorrow (yay!) and I might just pick up both these things.

ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift? Probably the Naked palettes, and out of them I most want number 2. Taupe toned neutrals work so well with my skin tone, and the colours are oh-so swoon worthy!

And that's it for today! I tag any of you who want to do this - and if you do please leave me a link to your post as I would love to read it! :)

RIMMEL STAY MATTE PRESSED POWDER // REVIEW

Hey lovlies,

Here's what the packaging looks like - ooo very nice!

I love how the product is in the shape of a crown, it adds a really nice finish to the packaging. Over time the crown shape disappears as you use more of the product.

I have this product in translucent, but if I buy it again I think I will buy it in a darker colour, maybe 003, as the translucent shade made my face quite white (or maybe I was just using too much...).

The first time I bought this was maybe two years ago, and I've been using it ever since. I had heard many beauty youtubers talk about this product, so I though I'd buy it too to join in and see what the hype was about.

The Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder aims to keep your make-up in place for up to 5 hours, which isnt actually a very long time. I wear it to school. and as my school lasts for 6 hours I am very shiny by the end of the day (it doesn't help that I have naturally very oily skin.... *sad face*).

Overall, I really like this product if I am just going out for a few hours, as for me the shine control only lasts for 2 or 3 hours. A bit disappointing, but definitely worth they buy if you have dry, normal or combination skin.

What's your favourite powder?

WINTER WISHLIST 2015

As it's like, practically winter now, I thought I'd better start thinking about the new outfits I want (not that I hadn't been thinking about them for the last few months or anything.... I totally have). Here are the pieces that I've found so far on my hunt for the perfect winter outfit:

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick
Dotti Blazer
Katy Perry Killer Queen perfume
Ankle boots (google images)
Topshop knee-ripped skinny jeans
Frends headphones
H&M baseball top
Rimmel Apocalips lip laquer
Zara handbag

What do you think about the items I've chosen?
And most importantly, what's on your winter wishlist?

MINI TOPSHOP HAUL

So recently I went to Topshop! (actually that was pretty obvious) I think that Topshop may be one of my favourite stores EVER. It is filled with high quality clothes, makeup and accessories (which are all a little pricey, to say the least), and I can never stop my self from going in when I walk past. Here's what I got:

Excuse the chipped nail polish

I chose two lip varnishes, in purple and pink. I know, I know, this purple does look a little bit extreme, but I swatched it in the shop and to my surprise, when applied thinly, it appears a gorgeous fuchsia colour! I've worn it quite a few times already and I still love it so much. Plus - look at the packaging! Topshop always does this really cool thing where the lid is matte in one part and shiny in another! I tried to show you in this picture (do you see how the light shines of the center of the black lid? That's the shiny bit, and the rest is matte.) If you don't understand, just by some for yourself! :)

Also, I'm really very excited to try out these eye shadows.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul of mine, I quite like doing these - I actually have another coming soon, so watch out for that!

Have you tried any of these prods? I'd love to know what you think!

15

I'm 15 today.

Wow. Another year gone... and still so many to come.

Right now, I'm in the middle of my teen years, as and these are the best years of our lives, I want to go about this year with no regrets, and so I can look back on this year and think of all the great times I had. However small they are, these are some of the things I'd like to achieve or do while being 15.

1 // Going to a music festival. A proper one, not an outdoor concert.

2 // Staying fit and healthy.

3 // Getting a part-time job in retail.

4 // Growing my hair out to my waist. Right now my hair sits a bit below my shoulders, and when straightened it reaches the top of my boobs, but I'd really like to grow it as far as I can, while keeping it in a really healthy condition.

5 // Making a bunch of new friends. I've always been kinda shy, and so I want to go out of my comfort zone to meet new people, and hopefully make some friends!

6 // As well as making new friends, I'd like to stay in contact with old friends.

6 // Being as fashionably put together as possible. Because fashion is always important. Obviously.

This was a bit of a short post today, but I'm posting my Birthday ootd and a birthday haul, so stay tuned for that coming later this week! Hope you enjoyed this post :)

ULTA 3 COLOUR ME PRETTY LIPSTICK CRAYONS // REVIEW

Hey everyone,

Today I'm reviewing a pack of Ulta 3 Colour Me Pretty Lipstick Crayons. I've used them a few times already and so far I'm loving them!

The colours in the pack are pretty peach, pink flamingo, and pretty affair. They are all so beautiful, I can't pick a favourite!

They claim to be smooth, moisturising and fragrance free with a non-sticky texture, and you will be pleased to know that everything they say is true! The lipstick crayons have a dewy/matte finish, which is great as my hair does not stick to my lips when I go out on windy days, but my lips still feel moisturised. They also glide on easily when applying.

The colours (pretty peach, pink flamingo, and pretty affair) are absolutely gorgeous. Sometimes I even mix two of them together to achieve a different colour. I think the one I have used the most is Pretty Peach, as it was recently summer. Now as it is Autumn I think I will be using Pretty Affair a lot more than the others.

I really like the name "lipstick crayons' - It's very fitting as they are not matte like lipsticks, and not dewy like crayons - they are a mixture of both!

Overall, this pack of lipstick crayons by Ulta 3 have been amazing - definitely worth the buy!

What do you guys think? Would you buy these lipstick crayons?

TINTED LOVE // NUDE BY NATURE

Hi gurls!

Today I have for you a review of the Tinted Love gift pack from Nude By Nature.

Lets get started!

Here's the box, closed (okay captain obvious).

And now the box, but opened. Inside the lid it has instructions to tell you how to apply the make-up in the kit. Rather clever, and extremely useful.

The first product in the gift box is not actually a make-up product - it's a make-up bag! This bag is actually quite small so would only fit smaller products. I tried to fit a powder and a powder brush in it and it didn't go down well.

I've used this brush a few times already and I've found it does the job really well, plus it's so soft! And the design is gorgeous, too.

I've used the Airbrush Mineral Primer only once so far, and both times it has worked well for me.
[UPDATE 28/3/15
OH MY GOD. This is my holy grail primer - without it my face goes super shiny after only 2 or 3 hours. Seriously CANNOT live without it.]

This is the Natural Mineral Cover. I'm not sure how this works as I haven't tried it yet, but I assume it is like a foundation with a much more natural finish.

[UPDATE: 28/3/15
After using this a few time, I do agree with my past self. It is like a foundation with a much more natural finish - as in it does not look cakey or crease in the lines on my face. Great product, especially for school as it is much less obvious than a bb-cream or foundation. Although I haven't figured out whether I should put on concealer before or after applying the mineral cover.]

The Mineral Bronzer, which I haven't tried yet either.

[UPDATE: 28/3/15
Wow - this product is amazing! Such a good bronzer, and can also double as a contour depending on the brush you use! Love this prod.]

This is the Mineral Finishing Veil, which is what you use at the end of applying your make-up to keep your make-up on all day. I haven't tried this product yet, but I'm looking forward to using it!

[UPDATE: 28/3/15
This is generally good product. Not outstanding, but does the job well, especially when paired with the other products in this pack.]

The gift pack also came with a cheek tint. I don't normally wear cheek products so I haven't tried this yet. I probably never will, but you never know.

The last thing in the box is the Nude Intense Moisturiser. Like many of the other products in this box, I haven't used the moisturiser yet.

[UPDATE: 28/3/15
Like most other moisturisers, this hydrates my face and doesn't feel oily when or after applied. Overall, an average, but good product.]

And this is everything that came in the Tinted Love gift box! You can find out more info and even buy this gift pack here.

I hope you enjoyed this review, I know I certainly did. I love taking the pictures and editing them, it's so much fun!

Have you bought anything from Nude by Nature? If so, let me know in the comments below. :)
